To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Dublin’s Opium cocktail bar is hosting a cocktail masterclass curated by the bar’s lead mixologist Shane Greene.
The masterclass will focus on the creation of cocktails based on Chinese ingredients, culture and mythology.
Featured cocktails on the night will include The Jade, a drink traditionally sipped by revellers as they ring in the Chinese New Year – a combination of vanilla infused vodka, lemon & lime juice, fresh melon, pineapple juice, plum bitters, hibiscus & cherry infused syrup. There will also be a chance to learn all the tips and tricks to create an oriental version a Negroni. Opium’s Miyagi Negroni is made with gin, plum sake, campari and okinawa essence.
Tickets for the night, including two Chinese themed cocktails, are €25 and for €10 extra guests can enjoy a selection of Chinese finger food. Tickets are available via eventbrite.
