The recently opened Bar 1661 on Green Street, Dublin 7, will be open early on select dates during the upcoming Rugby World Cup offering food and drink specials to morning customers.
Select Rugby World Cup 2019 fixtures will be shown live from 8am on the bar’s big screen. A bespoke low ABV cocktail menu has been created to celebrate each country, featuring a unique spirit and ingredients from that country. The Crazy 88 cocktail for example celebrates Japan, and features Roku gin, Muyu Japanese liquor, Umeshu plum wine, citrus, and soda.
The bar’s signature Belfast Coffee, a cold pressed version of the classic made with Bán Poitín and locally roasted Two Fifty Square Coffee, will be available for €9, while breakfast will be served from 8am with bottomless tea and coffee. Breakfast options will include a full Irish for €11; a pork sausage bap with poached egg, potato waffle, spicy marinara on a brioche bun for €8; egg & avocado; and granola.
