Lyrics by Irish band Wild Youth have become the latest to be adorned on the wall of room 329 at Dublin’s Morrison Hotel.
The band stopped by the hotel following their sold out gig in The Olympia to view the lyrics, which read “I’m too broken hearted, too hurt for this party, it’s Saturday night and I don’t want to be alone” from their bestselling debut EP The Last Goodbye.
The band joins a list of Irish musicians whose lyrics are painted onto rooms throughout the hotel, including Hozier, Kodaline and Thin Lizzy.
The band (Callum McAdam, Ed Porter, Conor O’ Donoghue, David Whelan) said: “When we started writing songs together, obviously we always hoped that they would reach as many people as possible but the response to Can’t Move On has blown our minds. The song and that lyric has changed our lives so seeing it on the wall of The Morrison, on TV or hearing it on radio is really surreal.”
