Dublin-based Whiplash Brewing has joined a worldwide brewing collaboration to help raise funds and awareness for the hospitality industry.
The initiative is being spearheaded by New York’s Other Half Brewing and already brewers from across America, Ireland, and the UK have signed up.
With bars, restaurants, and taprooms across the globe either closed or severely impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic, Other Half decided to try give something back to the industry with the #AllTogetherBeer project.
Matt Monahan, co-founder, Other Half Brewing, said: “Raising awareness about the devastating losses in the hospitality industry is the core vision of this project. We want to keep these losses at the forefront of conversations so that anyone who wants to help can learn what is happening and find a way to contribute to the recovery.”
Other Half is inviting every brewery around the world to take part and is providing the tools needed to make the beer at the lowest possible cost, including releasing the recipe, artwork and name open source. In return, the collective asks that a portion of the proceeds go to supporting hospitality businesses and professionals in their local communities.
The resulting beer, All Together, is currently in production in dozens of facilities with more coming onboard.
