Gavin Tollman, the CEO of US-based travel company Trafalgar, is in Ireland this week as part of a drive to increase its Irish operations.
Trafalgar and Brendan Vacations are one of the largest US-based organisers of American visitors to Ireland specialising in guided, escorted, private chauffeur, locally hosted rail travel and self-drive vacations in Ireland.
The Tollman Family own the Travel Corporation, including 30 travel brands such as Red Carnation Hotels and are in Ireland with Melissa DaSilva, President Trafalgar, and Catherine Reilly, Managing Director Ireland.
North America tourism numbers to Ireland were significantly up in 2017, with more than 2.1m visitors landing during the course of the year. Companies such as Trafalgar & Brendan Vacations are integral to this icnrease.
On Monday, Mr. Tollman with his senior marketing team and sales managers from throughout the US, attended a dinner in the K-Club, Co. Kildare, to hear about Fáilte Ireland’s tourism brands. The visit coincided with Fáilte Ireland’s annual sales meeting in the Straffon resort.
Paul Keeley, Director of Commercial Development with Fáilte Ireland, explained: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Trafalgar and Brendan Vacations to develop new seasonal and regional programming in Ireland.”
