Tourism Ireland has released a new online video promoting its Taste the Island marketing brand.

The online film gives prospective visitors a sense of the food and drink available in Ireland. Tourism Ireland’s message is that there has never been a more exciting time to come and discover Ireland’s food scene.

Taste the Island involves more than 500 food and drink-related experiences lined up over 59 days. The film will be promoted by Tourism Ireland at various events over the coming months; on a dedicated Taste the Island section on its international website,; as well as through its social platforms, including Facebook (more than 4.4m fans worldwide), Twitter (522,000 followers) and YouTube.

Taste the Island is a new all-island initiative, developed by Fáilte Ireland in conjunction with Tourism Ireland and Tourism NI. The initiative is the first of its kind for the island of Ireland and will take place from 6th September to 30th November, beginning with A Taste of West Cork festival in Co. Cork. Tourism Ireland will roll out a programme of promotions to highlight Taste the Island internationally.
