Having first opened in 2017, Titanic Hotel on Belfast City’s waterfront recently marked three years in business and is celebrating by offering a new gourmet getaway package.
The building itself was the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, the shipbuilders of the RMS Titanic. The hotel has several dining options – the Wolff Grill, Drawing Office Two, and the upper Presentation Room.
The gourmet getaway package is a chance to experience the dishes the kitchen is capable of serving, with Head Chef Nigel Mannion at the helm. The experience begins with a welcome plate and miniature drinks to accompany its arrival.
From there, guests will unwind with a pre-dinner cocktail in the surrounds of Drawing Office Two, made by the hotel’s expert bartenders. After that, guests can decamp to the hotel’s dining room, the Wolff Grill, which was voted Ireland’s Hotel Restaurant of the Year in 2020.
At the Wolff Grill, guests will be served a six-course tasting menu prepared by some of Northern Ireland’s most talented chefs. Plates include duck served with fennel, orange and pine nut; and beef fillet with goats cheese, horseradish, mushroom and beetroot. An optional wine pairing is available with this deal at €49.50 / £45 per person.
Guests availing of the gourmet getaway will sit down to breakfast the following morning, overlooking the city’s famed docklands. Included in this getaway is 24 hours complimentary car parking.
There is an option to enjoy a two night getaway which, on top of the above, also includes added perks such as a sparkling afternoon tea for two on one of the days, a thirty minute heritage tour of the ‘heart of the yard’ hosted by the hotel concierge which will brief guests on the history of the Harland & Wolff headquarters and Belfast’s shipping industry, a breakfast each morning, a late checkout time of 1:00 p.m. and complimentary car parking for 48 hours.
The package starts from €320 per room per night, and from €495 for two nights.
