Tiger Wood Fire Pizza is to open a second location in the capital, on the Deansgrange Road.
Since opening in Rathmines in October 2016, Tiger has grown into a busy take away and delivery operation specialising in wood fired pizzas.
For the bases, Tiger Wood Fire Pizza founder, Tadhg Leonard, created his own sourdough culture which is added to four basic ingredients; 00 flour, water, salt and olive oil. The dough takes a total of four days to make before being cooked to order.
Customers can enjoy toppings such as Toonsbridge Fior di Latte Mozzarella, local organic spinach and rocket as well as smoked scamorza, chorizo and serrano ham all from local Irish farms.
Commenting on the new store opening, founder Tadhg Leonard said: “Opening our second restaurant shows that dedication to our ancient craft of pizza making is what the Irish customer wants, our pizzas are tastier, fresher and better for you than other takeaways – our sourdough is naturally better for digestion and our fresh ingredients speak for themselves.”
Tiger’s pizzas are cooked in a Neapolitan wood fire oven with sustainably sourced kiln dried ash and oak that reaches temperatures of over 450 degrees and cooks pizza in minutes.
As well as the pizzas, customers can also enjoy starters like garlic sourdough bread and spring onion focaccia. Desserts include chocolate brownies and a sweet berry pie.
To celebrate the opening of the Deansgrange location, customers on the 22nd June can enjoy free pizza, face painting and music from 2-5pm.
