The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has reported that three closure orders were served on food businesses during the month of June for breaches of food safety legislation. The closure orders were issued by environmental health officers in the Health Service Executive (HSE).

One closure order was served under the European Union (Official Controls in Relation to Food Legislation) Regulations, 2020 on:

  • Golden Asian Street Food and Gala Deli at Gala Shanagolden, Main Street, Shanagolden, Limerick

Two closure orders were served under the FSAI Act, 1998 on:

  • DFC Take-Away, 82B Dorset Street Lower, Dublin 1
  • Saffron Indian Cuisine, Wesley Square, Main Street, Cashel, Tipperary
