Ireland’s first permanent alcohol free bar, The Virgin Mary, is reopening its doors this coming Friday 11th September at 5pm.
The Virgin Mary is now also the only bar in Ireland where customers can enjoy a drink without food or time restrictions. The bar first opened in May 2019 and has been closed for several months due to COVID 19. To ease people back into socialising safely during the ongoing pandemic, The Virgin Mary wil be open only on weekends initially.
Anna Walsh, TVM’s Head Bartender and Drinks Creator, has developed a brand new menu for reopening that includes a host of alcohol-free cocktails, wines, beers, sparkling wines, soft drinks and weekly specials. Some of the drinks will feature natural mood enhancing properties as TVM continues its mission to offer an alternative way to drink, socialise and connect.
Vaughan Yates, Founder of TVM, said: “We are incredibly excited to once again offer the people of Dublin a warm and welcoming space to enjoy some incredibly interesting and delicious alcohol-free drinks. As we are a small venue, we will be seating just 16 people at a time to ensure social distancing, but there is no limit on the time you can stay and there is no requirement to order food. As a bar that doesn’t need a licence, we are not confined by the restrictions that other venues face.”
The Virgin Mary Bar will also maintain operation of its online shop, stocking Ireland’s most extensive range of alcohol-free products.
