The Queens gastro pub in Dalkey is on the path to reopening, now in the hands of hoteliers Ray Byrne and Eoin Doyle, and under the day to day management of Eoin Quinlan.
Having closed back in March 2020, the future of the famous pub was uncertain until recently. The new management has invested in an extensive indoor refurbishment while also transforming the area behind the iconic pub into a festival style eat yard, perfect for outdoor summer dining.
The spacious pop up food yard features gourmet food trucks who have taken spots to create a selection of eats, including Real Irish Gourmet Burger and Bak’d, a sourdough pizza truck where the Meat and Heat pizza is proving to be a big hit!
The container Bar serves pints, and a retro airstream provides signature cocktails including the Cosmo Candy which has a candyfloss garnish. Customers can enjoy a piece of Hollywood with The Bourne Star which pays homage to Matt Damon‘s time spent in the village last year.
The Queens food yard is open from 3pm – 10pm Wednesday to Friday with the drinks bar staying open until 11pm and starting from 2pm on Fridays, and all trucks and bars are open from 1pm – 10pm Saturday – Sunday.
