Teeling Whiskey has released the latest in its limited edition Vintage Reserve Collection – the Teeling 32 Year-Old Irish Single Malt.
The 32 year-old release, which is limited to 750 bottles, is amongst the oldest bottlings of Irish single malt recently released. Bottles will be available initially in the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Celtic Whiskey Shop and select Irish retailers at a RRP of €2,000 per 70cl before being rolled out to international markets across Asia and Europe.
The Teeling Vintage Reserve Collection consists of very limited releases of rare and old Irish single malt whiskeys.
The latest release in this collection was distilled in 1988 and exclusively matured in ex-Rum casks for its full 32 years. This unique cask maturation imparts a rich depth of fruit flavours as well as ripe fruits and berries with a dusting of spice which balances with the deep layered malt and wood notes evident in the long finish.
This release was hand bottled in decanter bottles that come in a high-end wooden gift box with their own certificate of authenticity.
Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company, said: “These offerings are central to our goal to help drive diversity in Irish whiskey by introducing interesting and unique small batch bottlings. There is nothing else like these Irish single malts on the market and they represent a rare piece of Irish whiskey history in each bottle.”
