Stillgarden has been named Best New Distillery at this year’s Irish Enterprise Awards.
The Dublin 8 distillery launched numerous successful initiatives in the past year from its Social Botanist programme which brought a Community Garden to life and homegrown botanicals to company’s spirits, to the D8 Rebate which encourages customers to return used bottles and drinks pouches to the distillery in return for future discounts.
Stillgarden’s Social Botanist Project has increased biodiversity in the area, improved community spirit and encouraged the re-emergence of native wildlife and insects in an otherwise urban landscape.
The company also employs circular waste systems throughout the distillery to ensure there is as little waste as possible.
Stillgarden Distillery has also released several new products, from gift boxes and cooler bags to Ireland’s first community sourced gin, Social Gin, as well as Boss Lady Gin, a gin inspired by their and founder, Viki Baird, with €2 from every bottle or pouch sold going directly to Women’s Aid.
The Irish Enterprise Awards, now in its fourth year, aim to showcase Irish businesses, highlighting and recognising the enterprises that are thriving across the entirety of Ireland.
Speaking about the award win, Viki Baird said: “The fantastic team here at Stillgarden are over the moon to have been awarded Best New Distillery at the Irish Enterprise Awards. It’s been a challenging year to launch a new business and recognition on this level makes it all worthwhile.”
All of Stillgarden’s products are available to purchase now via an online shop and at the Stillgarden Distillery in Dublin 8. Collection and nationwide delivery options are available with next day delivery available in Dublin for orders placed before noon.
From 10th June the Garden Terrace is reopening where guests can relax and enjoy a range of cocktails and spirit creations after a tour of the Community Garden.
