Dublin 8-based distillery Stillgarden has renewed the call out for its Social Botanist Project as part of the inaugural Cultiv8 campaign.
Cultiv8 is a campaign designed to collectively do good for the planet.
The Social Botanist Project is an ever growing community of gardeners, botanists, harvesters and foragers who bring life to the world by growing their own. This project aims to create a positive relationship between Stillgarden Distillery and their local Dublin community through gardening and botanicals.
Social Botanists will directly influence and advocate for what grows at Stillgarden Distillery, which in turn, directly influences new product flavour possibilities. The current participants played a major part in their flagship gin, Stillgarden Social Gin. Botanists start their journey by planting and growing at home with guided help from Stillgarden’s ambassador and gardener.
With an aim to become a real community connector, Stillgarden Distillery’s garden becomes your garden. Open 24/7 for those who wish to pick, plant, or get involved in any way. What’s more, Stillgarden Distillery’s door is always open for any ideas, chats, and suggestions.
Anyone from Dublin can partake as Stillgarden will deliver the seeds, and those living within 5km of the distillery and garden can pick them up themselves. For those who wish to become a Social Botanist, they can sign up here.
As part of Cultiv8, each week in January, Stillgarden Distillery will be sharing stories from the local community via the Stillgarden website and social pages demonstrating how to create a more sustainable lifestyle through tutorials, recipes, home gardening, healthier products and sustainability tips.
