Stack A Restaurant at Urban Brewing, situated in the heart of the Dublin Docklands, is celebrating this St. Patrick’s Day with a special Food and Beer Pairing Tasting Menu on the 16th and 17th of March.
Urban Brewing was established in 2017 by O’Hara’s Brewery, one of the largest craft breweries in Ireland. The venue encompasses a fully functional microbrewery, two bars and Stack A Restaurant which is located within the building’s underground vaults.
Created by Head Chef Dan Keane, the St. Patrick’s Day menu celebrates seasonal Irish ingredients, and each course has been paired with an exclusive beer, brewed in-house, to enhance the flavour of the dish as well as highlighting the special characteristics of each beer.
The four course tasting menu will begin with stout and Irish beef consommé with homemade brown bread and smoked bone matter butter; paired with a Hallertau Blanc Kölsch. This is followed by cured fillet of sea trout with a trio of beetroot, blood orange, and watercress; paired with a Belgian Wit, and then a duo of Irish beef, 14 hour brewed Ddaub and charred rump, smoked potato, forest mushrooms, baby spinach, and braising jus; paired with a Whiskey Barrel Red. The meal will end with a dark chocolate delice with fig, orange, star anise, and Valrhona chocolate gelato; paired with a porter. All beers are subject to availability on the night.
The four course St Patrick’s Day Tasting Menu is €44 per person, with an additional cost of €15 for beer pairings.
