Spotlight on Donegal in Scotland

A delegation from Donegal County Council joined Tourism Ireland in Scotland recently, to announce a new initiative called Donegal Connect.

Football legend Packie Bonner, now a Donegal Connect ambassador, and his wife Ann attended the event in Glasgow.

Donegal Connect is a ten day programme of events which will kick off on 27th September. It aims to create new opportunities for the county by engaging with the Donegal diaspora around the world. It’s encouraging people everywhere to come and explore Donegal, and to find out for themselves why Donegal is a place not just to visit, but to live, invest and work in.

Special offers, including airfares, accommodation, car hire and local attractions, were highlighted at the launch event in Glasgow, to encourage the Donegal diaspora living in Scotland to travel for Donegal Connect.
