Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden at Stephen’s Green, Dublin, is hosting special four and eight course menus this coming Valentine’s day, February 14th.
Andy McFadden — Best Chef In Ireland and Best Chef in Dublin (Food & Wine Awards 2018) — has specially designed the menus for couples to indulge in.
The Four Course Valentine’s Day Menu will include scallop ceviche & Waldorf salad to start, followed by dishes of cod, brassicas, hollandaise & seaweed; and aged beef sirloin, celeriac, hazelnut & truffle and a Manjari chocolate, macadamia nut & Guinness dessert to finish the evening.
Meanwhile, the Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu begins with Lambay Island crab, kohlrabi, ponzu & thyme. The consecutive dishes are Coolattin Cheddar dumplings, ham hock & pommery mustard; beet ‘tartare’, hazelnut, watercress & truffle; scallop, pig’s head, pumpkin & ginger; Anjou pigeon, carrot, olives & verjus; an optional cheese course; grapefruit, Velvet Cloud sheep’s yoghurt, honey & lime; and mango, pineapple, cream cheese & passion fruit to finish.
The four cenu is €80 per person or €130 with wine pairings, and the tasting menu is €105 per person or €195 with wine pairings.
Andy said: “The Valentine’s Day Menu that we’re offering our guests will showcase the best local, seasonal ingredients that are available to us. We have chosen some really unique wines to be paired with both the four course menu and the eight course menu.”
