The Mustard Seed in Ballingarry, Co. Limerick, is celebrating Spanish wines on Thursday 21st November at a special dining experience in collaboration with Taste of Dublin and Mastercard.
The evening will feature a six course tasting menu by head chef Angel Pirev and his team paired with wines from various Spanish vineyards thanks to Forrestal Wine Merchants and the Food and Wines from Spain campaign.
According to the latest Irish Wine Market Report from Drinks Ireland | Wine (formerly the Irish Wine Association), which looked at the performance of wine by country of production, Spanish wine is one of Ireland’s favourites coming in third place after Chile and Australia.
Each carefully selected Spanish wine will be introduced by wine expert Leslie Williams – a regular contributor to Food for Thought as well as John and Sally McKennas’ Guides, and the Irish Examiner.
John Edward Joyce, proprietor of the Mustard Seed, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Leslie to the Mustard Seed to showcase a number of fabulous Spanish wines. His wealth of knowledge will be much appreciated by guests at this relaxed dinner which will be enjoyed by those who simply enjoy a lovely glass of wine and avid wine enthusiasts alike.”
The dinner with Spanish wines costs €75 per person and booking is essential. Dinner with wines and bed and breakfast is available from €135 per person sharing subject to availability.
