Sligo Food Trail has announced its flagship event as part of the Taste the Island tourism initiative.

The Harvest Feast will take place on Friday 18th October 2019, and will consist of a nine course tasting menu, each specially created by one of Sligo’s top chefs, in collaboration with local artisan producers. The gala banquet will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa and numbers are strictly limited. MC for the evening will be TV3 celebrity chef Shane Smyth.

Chefs involved on the night will include Joe Shannon (Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa), Marcin Szczodrowski (Eala Bhán Restaurant), and Joe McGlynn (Hooked). Representing the artisan aspect of Sligo Food Trail, courses will also be presented by Neil Byrne (Mamma Johnston’s) and Aisling Kelly (Sligo Oyster Experience at WB’s).

This special evening is part of Taste The Island, the new Fáilte Ireland tourism initiative.

Harvest Feast last took place in 2017 and was a resounding success.

“It was such a wonderful experience for everyone involved, we just had to do it again.
