Celbridge, Co. Kildare-based Rye River Brewing has has released a New England IPA styled beer called The Knot, in celebration of head brewer Bill Laukitis’s upcoming wedding to his fiancé, Aoife.
This new brew will feature as one of Rye River’s seasonal, limited small batch releases, and will be served at the wedding of Bill and Aoife. Another seasonal beer is currently aging in barrels ahead of its release.
The Knot Double Dry Hopped IPA, available in off licences from mid-August, has a medium bodied NEIPA base, with a low level of bitterness to the taste. The beer combines Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Ekuanot hops to bring depth of taste and aroma to this double dry hopped brew fermented with London Fog yeast. On the nose is crushed gooseberry, sauvignon blanc, grapefruit, lime, mango and papaya.
Commenting on the backstory of the beer’s name, Head Brewer, Bill Laukitis, said: “While crafting this beer, I was inspired by a knot as a symbol of strength, as the ingredients become intertwined, they are becoming stronger in their union, just like a good marriage.”
The Knot will feature as one of Rye River’s Seasonal, Limited Small Batch releases while stocks last. While it’s the last brewed of the range for 2019, it’s not the last to be released. Rye River have another special beer on the way to warm you up in the colder months ahead, currently aging away in its barrels. The Knot will be available from mid-August for its limited run while stocks last at all off license’s that support great independent Irish craft beer.
