The pastry team at the five star Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa has created something sure to get guests into the festive mood – a life-size gingerbread reindeer.
Head chef Pavel and his pastry team started at 4am to assemble the reindeer. spending 40 hours in total on it. The reindeer is made up of 42 kilos of gingerbread and 25 kilos of royal icing.
The hotel is also offering a special festive dinner at Sika Restaurant, where guests can enjoy views over the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Available throughout December, dinner is from €65 per person.
