Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links has launched a new winter afternoon tea offering, complete with speciality teas, small cakes, pastries and savoury treats, and the option of a few glasses of bubbles.

The new menu offers a variety of savoury bites including crisp smoked haddock dumpling; and duck pate & brioche with crab apple; and pastries including pistachio mascarpone cheesecake with sable biscuit, rich chocolate “pave” chocolate curl and praline; and the house favourite, Craqueline choux, buckwheat & honey Chantilly.

The winter afternoon tea is served in the the recently refurbished Seaview room, a quiet corner of the hotel with views out over Dublin Bay and Ireland’s Eye.

Executive Chef, Thomas Haughton, said; “Here at Portmarnock we aim to offer guests an elegant dining experience and this new menu reflects that. Whether you have a sweet tooth or are more on the savoury side, there is something here for everyone. The Craqueline choux, buckwheat & honey Chantilly pastry, a chef’s favourite, is absolutely delicious and the perfect bite to have with your hot cup of tea.”

Afternoon Tea is served daily from 2.30pm till 4.00pm and is €38 per person.
