Dublin’s Shelbourne hotel has unveiled a new outdoor terrace, as well as a new bar called 1824 Bar, named after the year the hotel was founded.
1824 Bar is billed as a luxurious space with a carefully selected list of high end drinks, cocktails and whiskeys. Open from 5pm every evening, the bar is tucked away at the top of the grand staircase and has a no reservations policy.
The hotel’s new outside space, The Terrace, is a relaxed plaza within the hotel with a view of the sky.
During its opening month of June, The Terrace will serve sharing platters of charcuterie and cheese with a sommelier’s selection of a glass of fine wine for two for €50. The Terrace will serve curated Irish sharing platters from 12 midday to 7pm daily, May to September, to both residents and non-residents.
The interiors were designed by Guy Oliver, principal designer and owner of Oliver Laws, the established London design company.
