New Zealand Winegrowers to Host Annual Trade Tasting

New Zealand Winegrowers will host its 22nd tasting of New Zealand wines on Monday 14th January at Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8. There will be over 150 New Zealand wines available to taste, with a number of key New Zealand wineries showing.

This year there will be a number of new features, including the Masterclass “Exploring New Zealand’s Regional Heroes”, and themed tables such as The Sommelier Sauvignon Selection and Chardonnay.

New Zealand wines have a great following here in Ireland. According to the Irish Wine Association, New Zealand sold 543,621 9 litre cases of wines on the Irish market in 2017, rising to 6% of the total market of 9.1m cases.

The trade and press tasting on Monday 14th January will run from 2.00 – 6.00 p.m. with the consumer tasting following at the same venue from 6.30 – 8.30 p.m.

Participating wineries for the 2019 tasting include: Askerne Winery, Awatere River, Babich, Brancott Estate, Cloudy Bay, Felton Road, Lawsons Dry Hills, Marisco, Mt Beautiful Wines – Teece Family Vineyards, Nautilus, Oyster Bay, Pegasus Bay, Sacred Hill, Saint Clair Family Estate, Seifried Estate, te Pa Family Vineyards, Villa Maria, Waimea, Wither Hills, Yealands Family Wines.
