A new cocktail bar is to open on Dublin’s Aungier Street called Bow Lane, in the same building that was formerly occupied by Delaney’s Bar and Off Licence at 17 & 18 Aungier Street.

The project has seen an extensive refurbishment of the old rundown unit adding to the ongoing transformation of one of Dublin’s oldest streetscapes. It is driven and headed by Whitefriar Grill’s owner Geoff Nordell.

The bar will be over seen by Dan Mulligan, the national and internationally award winning mixologist. His previous posts include 37 Dawson Street, Pichet & the global award winning 1806 Classic Cocktail Bar in Melbourne, Australia.

The kitchen is headed by Steve Levine (Mario Batali’s Restaurants NYC), a New York native who has introduced some “melting-pot flavours” to the modern Irish menus. Front of house will be run by Nigel Smyth in the bar and Tommie Hannan in the restaurant.

The unit is in fit-out stage with a scheduled opening in the final week of October. Bow Lane will be open seven days until late and the cultural focus is on live DJ’s and other special events timed weekly and monthly.
