Ben & Jerry’s is introducing a new product line into Ireland with its new Sundaes range featuring a whipped ice cream topping.

Sundaes are four tubs of the ice cream innovators’ chunkiest, swirliest flavours yes, but the star of the show is the never-before-seen whipped ice cream topping, finished with sauce and chunks. It’s an ice-cream sundae in a tub.

For this flavour family, Vermont based Ben & Jerry’s were inspired by the classic American dessert – the ice cream sundae.

The four Sundae flavours, which include one vegan offering, are:

  • Cookie Vermont-ster: Sweet cream ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cookie swirls.
  • Hazel-nuttin’ but Chocolate: Chocolate Hazelnut ice cream with brownie pieces & sea salt chocolate swirls.
  • Oh My! Banoffee Pie!: Creamy banana ice cream, chocolate caramel cups & cookie swirls.
  • Non-Dairy Berry Revolutionary: Raspberry Non-Dairy ice cream with sandwich cookies & chocolatey cookie swirls.

Like all Ben & Jerry’s tubs, Sundaes are Fairtrade certified and made with free grazed dairy and brownies from social enterprise Greyston bakery (which has an open hiring business model).

Priscille Moussy, Flavour Guru at Ben & Jerry’s, said: “You might think you know a sundae. But are you ready for a sundae the Ben & Jerry’s way? We wanted to bring the American classic to Ireland, showing dessert devotees that you don’t have to go out, to go all out! Sundaes are ice cream with all the chunks and swirls you love, PLUS so much more – soft whipped ice cream, gooey sauce and tasty toppings (we left out the kitchen sink, you’re welcome!). The only thing you need to worry about is grabbing a bigger spoon to dig deep into these layers!”

Ben & Jerry’s Sundae range is now available in major retailers nationwide, with an RRP of €6.50 for 427ml. To learn more, visit:
