Cork-based retail giant Musgrave has announced that is to begin selling the Graham Norton-branded Sauvignon Blanc from the end of October onwards.
The wine is produced by New Zealand winemaker Invivo, and will be sold in Centra and SuperValu shops throughout the country. Invivo and Norton have been collaborating on wines since October 2014, when the NZ company released a Sauvignon Blanc which received rave reviews from critics and has led to Invivo sales tripling. A follow up, called Graham Norton’s Own Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, was released in August 2015.
Tim Lightbourne, co-founder of Invivo, said the brand's profile was raised after Norton mentioned them in his autobiography. The Cork native has since purchased a 2% stake in the company, with his share of profits being donated to the UK charity Dogs' Trust.
