Molson Coors has launched ZOA Energy Drink, a non-alcoholic beverage developed in partnership with a team including Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Dave Rienzi and John Shulman.

Molson Coors will be the brand’s exclusive distributor in the US as well as taking a minority stake in the business.

This is Molson Coors’ latest move to build its business beyond beer, as the company continues to expanding with new non-alcoholic offerings and CBD-infused drinks.

ZOA will be available in five flavors and sold in single-serve 16 ounce cans. It will be positioned as a premium, better-for-you product. It contains vitamins C, D and B, added electrolytes and amino acids, and it is made with caffeine derived from green tea and unroasted coffee beans. ZOA is made without preservatives, artificial ingredients or additives.

The product is expected to launch in March with a full nationwide rollout to happen this Spring.

While the energy drink category is competitive, “we are entering with a product and partner group that offers a tangible point of difference. We couldn’t be more excited to enter this category with ZOA,” Marino said.
