Minister Joan Burton has been confirmed to help launch Diageo’s new Learning for Life initiative, which aims to help young people gain employment in the foodservice and hospitality industries.
The Learning for Life programme is centered around the Dublin 8 area where St. James’ Gate is located. June 12th marks the completion of a 6 weeks training programme by the participants in the Guinness Storehouse, after which they will embark on work experience with partners in the hospitality and tourism industry
At the event to launch the new initiative will be:
- Joan Burton, Minister for Social Protection
- David Smith, Country Director for Diageo Ireland
- Paul Carty, Managing Director at the Guinness Storehouse
- Participants from the Learning for Life Programme
The launch event will take place on the morning of June 12th.
