McGarry’s Pub of Harold’s Cross has been put for sale by Morrissey’s, the licensed and leisure division of Lisney’s.

The longstanding pub was previously called Quinn’s, owned by billionaire businessman Sean Quinn, before being sold in 2005.  It was then known for a short period as The Crossbar before a total renovation at the start of the decade and a reopening as McGarry’s.

The business has been closed since late March owing to the COVID 19 lockdown and has not reopened on a food-first model, unlike other bars in the area.

The large licensed premises extends to 493.80 sqm (5,315 sqft) and comprises a ground floor bar and lounge with fully fitted kitchen and quality beer garden.  It occupies a high profile trading position and is in turn key condition.

The business model is principally beverage driven augmented by a good food offering. The business is derived from the surrounding residential population augmented by employees of the retail units situated on Harolds Cross Road.

McGarry’s represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a large licensed premises that affords the potential to re-establish a strong business in a property that is well laid out for ease of management.

The sale is being handled by private treaty.
