Leading independent coffee roaster, Matthew Algie, will return to Dublin to attend CATEX – Ireland’s biggest annual foodservice exhibition – this coming February.
The well-established coffee shop authority that supplies coffee, machines, training and industry insight to thousands of operators across the UK and Ireland will be showcasing a number of new offerings on stand.
Andrew Jack, Head of Marketing at Matthew Algie, commented: “Having just celebrated our 150th anniversary, we look forward to celebrating CATEX’s 50th birthday,” he says. “Like any long-established business it’s the combination of our expertise and innovation that sets us apart and we look forward to sharing both with CATEX visitors this year.”
Amongst the new developments are additions to their Hand-Roasted collection. A carefully curated selection of micro lots, hand roasted in small batches, the 2015 line up boasts two new single origins – Tana Toraja from Indonesia and Fazenda Santa Lucia from Brazil – along with a new star espresso blend – Balthazar’s Brew. Visitors to the stand will be able to sample each of these new coffees and try their hand at a number of different brew methods.
In addition, visitors will be offered preview samples of the new summer drinks range that includes Iced Salted Caramel Latte, Honeycomb Mocha Frappe and Pineapple Iced Tea.
They will also be able to sample the latest products from the Espresso Warehouse catalogue including the newest offerings from Fine Cookie Co, Da Vinci syrups, Suki Tea, Pavilion Garden, Chocolate Abyss, Wooden Spoon, Propercorn and Peppersmith.
Meanwhile, for those looking for insider tips, a team of coffee specialists from Matthew Algie will be on hand to talk about everything from coffee trends and menu development to selecting the perfect machine and getting the most from staff training.
Matthew Algie will be located at stand E25. CATEX runs from 17th – 19th February 2015 at Dublin’s RDS.
