Marlin Group has confirmed that it is on course to open its first Irish hotel, on Bow Lane East, Dublin, this coming summer.
Marlin Group is one of London's largest privately owned hospitality operators specialising in serviced apartments and hotels. The company opened its first premier development in the city area in 2003, and today has over 600 units in six prime locations. Each location is chosen for its ease of access and proximity to nightlife and culture, and this is reflected in the choice of Bow Lane East for its Dublin hotel.
The new development in the heart of Dublin is a contemporary 300 bedroom hotel, adjacent to St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre. The €55m project will create 110 new jobs.
The distinctive triangular building was designed by architects Cantrell Crowley and is being built by McAleer & Rushe. Interior designers O’Donnell O’Neill Design have been commissioned to fit out the spaces.
Each room features a 43” HD Smart TV with Google Chromecast connectivity, high-speed broadband, LED mood lighting, Bluetooth speaker, air conditioning, media hub and automated black out blinds.
Other facilities available will include a restaurant and bar, a self service check-in system, a co-working area, an indoor garden, an outdoor terrace, a meeting space, a coffee dock, and a 24 hour gym.
Michelle O’Donoghue has been appointed General Manager and returns to Ireland from Dubai following six years at the Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers. She commented: “We wanted to create something different here in Dublin, offering something tailored for every individual guest.”
Marlin Hotel Dublin will be Fáilte Ireland approved and rates will start from €199.
