Lizzie’s Kitchen Celebrating International Women’s Day

Lizzy’s Little Kitchen in Listowel, Co Kerry is celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 with a special supper club night.

The supper is taking place on Thursday March 7th, the eve of International Women’s Day, and will help to recognise the global occasion which celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The campaign theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is #Balanceforbetter.

The one sitting supper starts at 7.00pm sharp and will feature a complimentary welcome drink on arrival, with a non alcoholic option available, followed by savoury and sweet sharing platters. Tickets cost €25 per person and are available at Lizzy’s Little Kitchen, Lower William Street, Listowel.

“For me International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate all that women have achieved,” said owner Lizzy Lyons who was named Local Food Hero at the 2018 Listowel Food Fair. “I’m looking forward to hosting an evening of food and fun where the focus is on our personal successes and the successes of our friends.”

Lizzie’s Ballybunion pop up in 2015 earned her a place in John & Sally McKennas’ Where to Eat and Stay on the Wild Atlantic Way, and has since taken up permanent residence in a larger premises in the Kerry seaside town. In 2017, Lizzy’s Little Kitchen was recognised as the Best Neighbourhood Restaurant in Munster at the Irish Curry Awards. In addition Lizzy is a regular at events to showcase her cooking skills and expertise and has made appearances at Bloom, Taste of Dublin, the Dingle Food Festival and in her home town with actor/presenter Simon Delaney at the Listowel Food Fair.
