Launching the Limerick Food Mile

A group of some of the best known hotels in Limerick have come together to launch The Limerick Food Mile, a new culinary experience reflecting the resilience and passion of the people of Limerick.

Inspired by the history of Limericks bacon industry, the Pigtown Culture and Food Series is a new programme of themed events throughout September and October 2018 in Limerick developed by the Limerick Food Group. The series will focus on Limerick’s heritage showcasing the food available locally and building on the county’s food heritage.

The series has been organised by hotels including The Limerick Strand Hotel, Azur Limerick, The Savoy Hotel & the No. 1 Pery Square Hotel.

To celebrate the launch of The Limerick Food Mile they are hosting a special evening on Friday September 14th 2018. The event kicks off from 6.15pm and consists of an exclusive four course meal, each course served at a different hotel/restaurant with each executive chef presenting a course consisting of Pigtown themed locally sourced food, and each course will be paired with local Treaty City Beer (wine available as an option).
