The Wild Geese Irish Honey Liqueur has taken the top prize in the liqueur category at the 2021 Concours International Top Spirit Awards.
This competition is judged by an independent panel of over 60 spirit experts and the medal is the latest in a series of awards won by The Wild Geese Irish Honey Liqueur.
The honey liqueur is a blend of Irish whiskey and a 100% pure natural honey from Tipperary and Kilkenny. It is the only honey liqueur produced in Ireland.
The liqueur beat off a host of competition in a blind taste test, with the jury judging on criteria including nose, colour, taste and price. Judging across all categories took place over more than 20 sessions and 70 hours of tasting, with over 325 spirits from all over the world competing.
Andre Levy, Chairman of The Wild Geese producer Protégé International, said: “We are incredibly proud to have won the Gold Medal in the Top Spirit 2021 Awards for The Wild Geese Irish Honey Liqueur. To have been selected for this prize under the current challenging conditions, beating off bigger competitive brands, is a major achievement. The award reinforces the quality of our products, which have been recognised around the world by almost 70 prestigious international awards.”
Other products in The Wild Geese’s award-winning range include Untamed Irish Whiskeys, The Wild Geese Premium Rum and The Exiles Irish Gin.
