Ireland has been named in the latest Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards list of top 20 countries in the world to visit, coming in at 18th place overall.
The magazine announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards on 7th October, with more than 600,000 readers across the globe submitting their responses and rating their recent travel experiences of the world’s countries, cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines and airports.
Topping the list was Indonesia, with an overall score of 92.78, followed by Thailand with 92.37 points, and Portugal in third with 91.94 points. Just outside the top 20 was Cork at 21st, Galway at 23rd, and Dublin at 26th.
