Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa has launched Seaside Adventures, a new series of seasonal activity breaks located in West Cork.
Visitors can book adventures including surfing, kayaking under the stars, whale watching with Atlantic Whale and Wildlife Tours, a series of biking excursions for novices and experts, and a walking food tour of Clonakilty with Kate Ryan, food writer and author of A Taste of West Cork – Artisan Food Guide.
Adventure enthusiast and television presenter Kathryn Thomas was on hand to help launch the Seaside Adventures.
Kathryn Thomas said: “I’ve been on many activity holidays in different parts of the world as well as in Ireland, and what we have to offer here in Ireland in terms of activities, scenery and hospitality is really and truly world class. Here in West Cork, the scenery is nothing short of spectacular and there’s a great range of really fun and interesting activities available to suit all ages and all levels of fitness.”
All packages include two nights in a deluxe guestroom at Inchydoney with views of the Atlantic Ocean, breakfast each morning in the Gulfstream Restaurant and access to The Island Spa, Ireland’s only thalassotherapy spa. Here guests can experience a different side to the Atlantic with fresh seawater from the ocean outside the hotel being pumped in to the seawater therapy pool every morning which is then heated to 31 degrees. There is also a selection of jets, bubble seats and counter currents within the pool offering a complete workout underwater. The Island Spa also has ocean view relaxation areas, a fruit & juice bar, a steam room and Hammam available to all guests.
