Solas on Wexford Street in Dublin 2, one of the most high profile pubs in the city, has been sold for an estimated €2.5m.
The deal adds to the stable of properties owned by publicans Stephen Cooney and Brian O’Malley, which already includes The Bath and The Old Spot in Dublin 4, amongst others.
The sale was negotiated by agents CBRE and had been in the hands of its previous owners for over 13 years.
The building is a four storey red brick fronted licensed premises which has been refurbished and extended to provide comfortable and modern lounge bar facilities. The licensed premises spans three floors with a roof top terrace and is fitted out in a contemporary style. The accommodation comprises ground floor lounge bar with customer toilets and keg store to the rear. On the first floor there is a lounge with feature roof top terrace together with a catering kitchen. On the second floor there is a private function room and customer toilets. The third floor comprises an office and store.
The Camden Street/Wexford Street area of Dublin has become one of the top entertainment areas in the city in recent years and is a hotbed of clubs, pubs, new restaurants and music venues, making Solas an attractive purchase.
