The Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate is preparing to put on a special spooky afternoon tea for Halloween this year, complete with sandwiches, scones, treats, and loose leaf teas.
The Halloween themed afternoon tea experience is running daily from 1pm – 4pm over the two week midterm break this October. Families will be treated to an afternoon tea experience in the surrounds of Kentfield Suite or River Room Restaurant with views over the estate.
The Halloween inspired menu includes local produce with a savoury selection of freshly cut sandwiches including: Connemara smoked salmon with yuzu and trout caviar, fois gras mousse with cranberry and orange, and Galway Goats Farm cheese with beetroot and pistachio bonbon.
To finish, the miniature afternoon tea & sessert selection includes choux (raspberry and chocolate), earl grey macarons, spiced pumpkin panna cotta, and ghostly masrhmallows.
There’s also a wide selection of Ronnefeldt Loose Leaf Teas including Glenlo’s House Tea, a powerful, spicy Assam with an intense flavour; Irish whiskey cream; Moroccan mint herbal; and vanilla rooibos.
The Halloween themed afternoon tea experience costs €30 per adult and €15 for children. For an extra €10, guests can opt for the prosecco afternoon tea or the champagne afternoon tea for an extra €16.
The hotel is also offering a package of two nights accommodation with breakfast daily, Halloween themed afternoon tea on one day and dinner one evening aboard The Pullman from €169 per person.
