Hagstravaganza Festival Beer Lineup Announced

The White Hag Brewing Company has announced the lineup for Hagstravaganza, its international brewery festival taking place in Sligo this coming July 28th and 29th.

The event is the only international brewery festival in Ireland and will be held at White Hag's brewery in Ballymote, Co. Sligo. The invite-only nature ensures only the best breweries in Ireland and abroad are asked to attend and pour their beers, with a completely new set of companies attending year-on-year. The festival will attract over 1,500 beer lovers to the South Sligo town over the two day event.

By far the biggest attraction of the festival is the theme - 60 beers you've never tasted before. All breweries attending must bring 2-3 beers each, and the main caveat is that the beer cannot have poured before in Ireland. This means beer fans get to sample and taste up to 60 brand new beers over a weekend from around the world, in one place on one ticket.

Arriving from four continents, there will be 14 international breweries. Already announced are Swedish brewery Malmo Brewing Company, and Tipperary based brewers, Canvas Brewery. Another 20 breweries will be announced soon through social media.

Managing Director of The White Hag, Paul Mullin, said: "We're very proud of the event Hagstravaganza has become, allowing us bring the cream of global brewing to Ireland. The event is proving to be even more popular than the first large event last year. Since then we have met and invited some amazing breweries from around the world as we visit beer festivals and distribution events in other countries. In doing this, we have the support of bars, off licences, distributors and the wider brewing industry here in Ireland and abroad, and it takes this support to make the event work."

Hagstravaganza is sponsored by LiveTiles who recently opened an office in Sligo town. Livetiles specialises in intelligent workplace software. The firm is highlighting positons open in their growing Sligo workforce, and expect to see interest amongst visitors.
