The annual Galway Rocks for Hospice is taking place in The Kings Head, High Street, Galway, this coming Friday 21st February.
The event will see Galway’s local bands Tightrope, Pyramid, KIF, FYC, and The Converse Allstars share the stage in support of Galway Hospice.
Admission to the gig is free and there will be ample opportunity to support Galway Hospice on the night, including a raffle for five spot prizes.
Allen Feeney of Tightrope is the organiser of the annual concert. Allen said: “All five bands are great friends and the idea came about from us wanting to both collaborate and give something back to the local community. It’s a really unique night with so many Galway musicians playing on stage together.
“The Galway Hospice is a cause close to so many people’s hearts – including some of the musicians involved – so to be able to give our support for such an important charity means a lot to us all.”
Paul Grealish, owner of The Kings Head, said: “This is the third year we’ve hosted Galway Rocks for Hospice and it’s always such a brilliant gig – I can’t wait to do it all over again. All credit to Allen Feeney and the amazing bands who are giving up their time to support Galway Hospice. We’re delighted to be involved in this fantastic event for such a worthy cause.”
The gig kicks off at 9pm and will run until the early hours.
