Stephen Gibson and his team at Pichet in Dublin are set to welcome Josef Zammit & Nicola Curran Zammit, owners of the Bib Gourmand eatery Two Cooks, this coming 23rd August.

Since opening its doors four years ago in Sallins, Co. Kildare, Two Cooks has received a number of rave reviews and has been on the radar of many foodies, who have enjoyed a memorable meal on the banks of the Grand Canal.

Josef and Nicola met while working together in the Westin in 2002 and both have extensive experience in the food industry.

For the past six years, Nicola has taught cookery courses at Cooks Academy. Her passion for teaching as well as her classical training in The Westbury, competing internationally with the Irish Culinary Team as a young chef and her role as sous chef in the Halo Restaurant at The Morrison Hotel has brought a wealth of skills and knowledge to her courses and of course her own business.

Originally from Malta, Josef has been working in professional kitchens for over twenty years. He swapped his passion for art and design to pursue a career in Gastronomy and has won the coveted title of Best Chef in Kildare a number of times. Josef’s passion for forging, preserving and sourcing of local ingredients combined with seasonality dictates the ever evolving tasting menu at TwoCooks.

TwoCooks has won the award for the Best Restaurant in Kildare every year since they opened as well as Best Restaurant in Leinster 2018 at the Irish Restaurant Awards.

Friends of Pichet with Two Cooks takes place on Sunday, 23rd August at 4.30pm. Tickets are available from €65pp (€100 including a wine pairing for each course) and include a six course tasting menu.
