Chef Patron Vincent Crepel will open Terre, his first restaurant in Ireland on Saturday, September 10th, in the 17th-century Manor House of Castlemartyr Resort in Co. Cork.

At Terre, Chef Crepel will introduce his guests to a modern and immersive dining experience which will be hosted in the surrounds of the hotel’s heritage Manor House.

Chef Crepel said: “Since I have come here, and seen the beautiful green fields and spectacular coastline, I have felt a connection with the people, the land, the energy from the sea and find it very inspiring. I hope to bring our guests on a special journey showcasing the highest quality ingredients, carefully sourced for my personal vision of a modern restaurant experience.”

On arrival, guests will be greeted by the Terre team and invited to enjoy an aperitif whilst overlooking the landscaped gardens. A tour of Chef Crepel’s kitchen follows, where guests will enjoy a glass of champagne and snacks whilst meeting the culinary team. There they will enjoy a look at the dry ageing fridges and fermentation rooms as well as the ice bar and store of rare and specialist raw ingredients.

Moving to the dining rooms, where, over an unhurried three-hour sitting, guests will be taken on a journey through the tasting menu. Created with a focus on high-quality ingredients, Chef Crepel uses age-old French cooking methods coupled with a strong Asian influence drawn from his time working there.

“My food is rooted in classical French technique yet alive with the bright, exciting flavours of Asia”, said Crepel. The dishes are finished tableside for an interactive culinary theatre dynamic. The focus on the purity of flavour of quality ingredients is complemented by a drinks and wine list that features family-owned, grower-producers using low intervention methods of producing bio-dynamic and organic wines.

Chef Vincent Crepel started his career in France and has worked in several renowned international restaurants from the Michelin three-star Arzak in San Sebastian, Spain, and Restaurant Andre in Singapore to the historic Restaurant Hôtel de Ville Crissier, Switzerland. Crepel is bringing his wealth of creative culinary experience to what promises to be a unique dining experience at Terre.

Located in the 17th-century Manor House at Castlemartyr, Terre restaurant will occupy a contrasting, contemporary space within, where the surrounds will immerse guests in a culinary experience firmly rooted in Cork flavours. The furniture has been crafted by Modet in Kinsale, Leeside Forge and Fermoyle Pottery have also created an exclusive collection for use in Terre.
