The self-catering Lodges at Fota Island Resort have been awarded five-star status by Fáilte Ireland.
The self-catering Lodges are situated in the Courtyard, Courseside or in Fuschia Woods at Fota Island Resort, a selection of two, three, and four-bedroom lodges that provide a home from home when travelling with family, a group of friends or fellow golfers.
“We are delighted to have been awarded five-star status for the Lodges at Fota Island Resort,” said General Manager of the Hotel, Lodges & Spa at Fota Island Resort, Carmel Guihen. “Our goal is always to reach the highest standards of quality to meet our guests’ needs and to exceed their expectations. I’m very happy for the team who go that extra mile to ensure the Lodges at Fota Island Resort provide an exceptional guest experience, from service to hospitality to the quality of the accommodation and facilities, and congratulate them on their success in achieving five-star status. It’s very welcome news indeed.”
As with everything at Fota Island Resort, the Lodges are a mix of the traditional and the cutting-edge. Every lodge has been decorated with modern home comforts, and all lodge guests have access to the activities, championship golf, spa and dining options throughout the resort as well as dedicated Fota Island Adventure activities during school holidays.
John O’Flynn Resort General Manager said: “It is wonderful to have achieved the prestigious five-star title for our Lodges, offering our guest’s an elevated hospitality experience when they travel to the resort this summer and beyond. The team who achieved the new status, have shown passion and dedication to our guest experience at the resort and we are delighted to be able to share the new look and feel lodges with our guests.”
