Fota Island Picks up Online User Experience Award

Fota Island Resort has picked up an award for the user experience design of its Seek Christmas Experience 2018 online campaign.

The award was handed out at the inaugural UX Awards, held on Thursday June 20th at The Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin. The Fota Island team picked up the award for Best UX Achievement in Social and Communications, and was applauded for demonstrating an outstanding user experience, innovation and customer satisfaction across their social media and online communications of the Seek Christmas Experience 2018.

The Seek social and communications team led by Rebecca Murphy, digital marketer and community manager for The Fota Collection, was supported by a number of external partners. Together they created a campaign using social media, video and a variety of effective digital marketing strategies.

Other winners on the night included Three Ireland, Musgrave and Storyful.

The UX Awards recognise and celebrate excellence across the UX community in Ireland over the past 18 months. Winners on the night were judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from both the brand and agency sides, from Ireland and abroad. The awards are organised by business community platform Business River.

Seamus Leahy, Marketing Director at The Fota Collection, said he was thrilled to see the hard work of his team recognised within the industry. “Every year our Christmas experience at Fota Island Resort has grown bigger and better but last year the team really excelled themselves. Not just by hosting the biggest Christmas experience in Ireland and breaking visitor records for the sixth year in a row, but the story they told online and across the national media landscape.”
