The upcoming Dublin Festival of History is catering for foodies this year, with a number of events set to take place focusing on culinary history.
The festival runs until October 7th and features 140 individual events in total, all of which are free to attend. Highlights include a talk on the making and consumption of bread in modern Ireland, and a discussion on the impact of the First World War on life and homes in Ireland.
The Irish Film Institute, the Office of Public Works, Dublinia and Dublin City University are amongst this year’s festival partners.
The full programme for the Dublin Festival of History can be found at www.dublinfestivalofhistory.ie. While all events are free, advance booking is required for some.
