The famous Fitzgerald’s Albert House in Sandycove, South County Dublin, has been put for sale by private treaty.

The Albert House has been owned and operated by the Fitzgerald family for over 60 years and are now selling the business as a going concern. The pub has a unique literary heritage connecting it to James Joyce and has consequently become known internationally for its Bloomsday celebrations.  The sale is being handled by JP Younge and will involve a share transfer in Charles Fitzgeraldn Ltd.

The pub generates around €900,000 a year in turnover, with about €40,000 of that from food sales.

The property has the benefit of a spacious and comfortable 1,200 sq ft two bed apartment and office space on the upper floor. The pub itself extends to 1,400 sq ft while the kitchen comes in at 143 sq ft.
