People have been known to occasionally skip the main course and move straight onto dessert, scoffing down a tub of ice cream while feeling a slight twinge of shame at the excess.
Such culinary adventurists need worry no more, thanks to Teare Wood’s Ice Cream Parlour in Whitby, North Yorkshire, which has created fish & chip flavour ice cream to cure all ills.
The unusual treat is a combination of a scoop of minty mushy pea ice cream and a scoop of fish flavour ice cream rolled in rolled in batter, topped off with a chip masquerading as a chocolate flake and served in a cone.
Speaking to the Whitby Gazette, owner Shayne Wood said “And it’s actually quite nice – kind of like a savoury fish cake but a bit more sweet”.
The ingredients are sourced from a takeaway next door and isn’t the shop’s first strange concoction – previous creations include corned beef flavour and coconut korma flavour.
