Festive afternoon tea is returning to Dublin’s Westbury hotel this Christmas, with a new vegan option also being made available.
Served in The Gallery, the festive afternoon tea menu includes a tower of savoury sandwiches, bite-sized brioches and bakes. At the heart of the offering comes a choice of patisserie, including festive verrines with whipped ruby chocolate ganache and raspberry gel, the Christmas Snowman crafted from white chocolate and coconut tart; Choux pastries filled with Gianduja pastry crème and Mascarpone Chantilly; and the Christmas Opera cake, a creation of pistachio, raspberry and caramelia.
Festive Afternoon Tea at The Westbury is available from €55 per person, or from €70 per person when served with Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV or Perrier – Jouët Blason Rosé NV.
The festive afternoon tea will be available from 18th November 2019 until 6th January 2020.
The vegan afternoon tea, meanwhile, features a selection of vegan sandwiches (guacamole tostada with black bean, chilli and coriander; and tofu and Asian cabbage slaw), and a range of miniature handmade deserts, from the mango-infused tropical globe to the strawberry, lemon and chocolate three layer cube.
Guests looking to finish their afternoon off with a bang can order the Wilde flambé Irish coffee, prepared at the table with specialty coffee from Honduras, and Midleton Method and Madness single grain whiskey.
