Wine distributor Febvre has confirmed the sale of its French subsidiary Paul Sapin to Les Grands Chais de France for an undisclosed sum.

Febvre first purchased Paul Sapin in 1999, acquiring a 99.79% stake in the company. The Burgundy-based Paul Sapin bottles wines for export, and sells to more than 30 markets globally. Founded in 1979, Les Grands Chais de France is the world’s second largest producer of French wines, and the world’s biggest exporter.
